How long can a WSO username be?
WSO users names are limited to 8 characters.
Can you change a WSO username after the account is created?
No, WSO usernames are permanent.
What is the minimum password strength for a WSO account?
WSO accounts require a minimum of 8 characters and must include 1 letter, 1 number, and 1 special character (symbol). WSO account passwords cannot contain spaces.
Where can I reset passwords after I create an account?
You can reset a WSO account’s password using the
Manage Accounts interface. You can find the
Manage Accounts interface at
Home >> Account Functions >> Manage Accounts >> Password.
Can I reserve IPs for resellers?
You can reserve multiple IP addresses for a reseller using the
Reseller Center center (

Can I change a WSO account’s IP address?
You can change an account’s IP address using the
Manage Accounts feature (
Main >> Account Functions >> Manage Accounts).
Can I add more than one IP address at once?
Enkompass’
Add IP Addresses feature can accept multiple IP addresses as a range. This feature will
not accept CIDR notation.
Can I change a WSO account’s reseller status?
You can use the
Promote/Demote Accounts (
Home >> Resellers >> Promote/Demote Accounts) feature to control which WSO accounts have reseller status.
What is a WSO role?
WSO roles control which features a WSO user can access. You can define roles that you can reuse whenever accounts are created. You can change an account’s role using the
Manage Accounts (
Home >> Account Functions >> Manage Accounts >> Role) interface.
What do I need to know about primary domains?
Whenever a WSO account is created, the domain entered when the account is created becomes the account’s primary domain. You cannot change the account’s primary domain. You do not have to enter a fully-qualified domain name (FQDN). You may enter unregistered domain names.
